Tiara of the Month: three of the most dramatic diamond diadems in history

First seen in 1906, this towering diadem was worn by Alexandra Feodorovna, the last Empress of Russia, at the opening of the first Russian State Duma. It sports a circlet of diamonds and pearls at the base supporting pavé diamond festoons and swirls. These, in turn, suspended oscillating pearl pendants rising to a band of large teardrop-shaped pearl toppers. Diamond’s DART-750 Makes First Flight

The DART-750, a new all-composite aerobatic trainer from Diamond Aircraft, made its first flight on June 12 at Wiener Neustadt East Airport (LOAN) in Austria. The DART-750, powered by a 750 hp Pratt & Whitney PT6A-25C powerplant, has already arrived at the Paris-Le Bourget Airport (LFPB), where it will be on static display all week at the Paris Air Show, beginning Monday.
